Hiatus extended.

I just finished my thesis and will be graduating in few days. Wee! Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers. I was supposed to get back on track early this month but I've been a huge slack. Perhaps I'll take a vacation first then start blogging again.

Check out latest news from their official websites, fanblogs and fan forums.

Till next time. :)

I'll be ON HIATUS. I'm on my final weeks in finishing my thesis and I still have loads of things to do. I'm actually really panicking right now. I hope I can do well. *Hoopppeeeesss*

You can read updates about Libera on their OFFICIAL WEBPAGES and/or to the other WONDERFUL BLOGGERS out there.  (Click the links to view the list of websites.)

Liberalites.tumblr.com

I got an email from a fellow fan, Dorcas asking me to promote a tumble log she and her friend made that is dedicated to Libera. I think tumblr is a good way in promoting Libera as well as sharing pictures, videos, "official" news and other stuff so if you do have a tumblr account be sure to follow them, they follow back as well. Oh btw, even if you don't have tumblr you can still check their posts. :)

So what are you waiting for FOLLOW (or visit) them now! :)

Anyhoo, if you have questions, drop a message on their Ask Us Anything tab (at the upper part of the page) or send them an EMAIL. :)

Thank You! :)

This post is dedicate to Lexi and her mom Lauren.

I'm sorry it took me this long before I could dedicate a post for you two. Thank you so much for the package that you sent me. I really didn't expect to get some goodies from a concert that I never attended.

After a week of delay, the post office here finally delivered the note that I could claim the package already. Unfortunately I was out of town that time and when I finally arrived home I had lots of things to do. I had to wait 2 more weeks until my schedule cleared a little before I could go to the post office to claim the package. It was actually weird because the note that was sent to me had something written "subject to inspection" but when I came there, they just looked for my identifacation card, had me sign something then gave the package. They didn't even bother to inspect it. hahahah Anyhoo, I was so excited to open it that I didn't bother to care for the other people looking at me in the Jeepney as I was opening it with a huge smile on my face.hahaha When I arrived home, I boast the package to my whole family (who all are a huge Libera fans as well). I told them to handle it with care. hahaha Now, it's carefully placed on my study table along with my other Libera stuffs. (I'm planning to dedicate a space just for my Libera collection. Hopefully I could do that by summer.)

Anyhoo, I didn't expect to get more the Atlanta Program. Also, the first steps booklet helped me a lot. I was really down and stressed during those times and reading it somehow made me find my way back again. :)

Again, thank you so much!

Busy.

Hello everyone!

Sorry for not being able to update this blog for a really long time. After the updates regarding the US Tour, I haven’t been online much and I’ve been really really busy with school works. As some of you know, I’m currently doing my thesis this year. I’ve managed to pass the first part but I have to work really hard for the next part since it requires not only physical strength but also mental and emotional. (Yes, thesis can be so depressing.) I clearly didn’t have a social life for the past 2-months, and it will continue until February next year, I think..

Enough with the rants. I just want to give heads up to everyone that I might not be able to update this blog regularly but I’ll try to update at least once every two weeks (if there’s new stuffs about Libera). I asked my sister to update this for me but it seems that she’s busy with her school stuffs as well.

Ps. I’m soooo excited for the Deluxe edition of Peace. I hope it would be released in the Philippines soooooon.

Busy

As I've been saying for the past month or two, I'm already doing my thesis and (hopefully) on my final year in college. Last week, we got a detailed schedule on our requirements and submissions and it's really heavy. This coming Saturday, we'll be passing our final draft on our first part of the thesis book and if it gets approved more work has to be done. I'm just saying this for the heads up. I might not be able to update this blog whenever I want to because I'll be limiting myself on a 2-hour internet use for stuffs not related on my thesis every Saturday evening only. (I've given my FB account to a friend and she already changed my password so I won't be tempted to open it from time to time. LOL) You can reach me though through TWITTER and EMAIL if you have any concerns, news or just want to wish me luck. :P

On the brighter side, of course, I won't let this blog be buried to grave (I don't know how many my readers are but I'm hoping there's a lot. hehe). I've asked my younger sister, Jelly, to take charge with this blog and update the blog whenever Libera post something (specially regarding with the US Tour). She's only 12, so you might see posts related to Jakob or someone else. hehehe PLEASE be kind to her. :)

Also, I realized that I haven't posted the original edit of the banner I've been using for couple of months already so I decided to post it here. Feel free to use it as your wallpaper but please do credit my blog if you're going to post it to another site.

Thanks!

St. Nicholas Choir

I just like how Libera's popularity increase in the Philippines choir. Although St. Nicholas Choir from Cabatuan, Iloilo is a mixed choir, I think they did their cover of Sanctus and Far Away really good. I hope they'll record more and I hope they'll have better audio/video quality next time. Great job guys! :)

Funny.

Okay, so forget about the title cause my head's not working. hahahaha

Just wanna share a short story about Libera's rising fame in the Philippines. Last week my aunt was listening to one of the famous radio shows while driving her car and the DJs were talking about the "TWEENERS" way of showing affection to their favorite stars. The topic actually started because they were talking about Justin Bieber's recent concert cancellation. Anyhoo, so they were talking about the tweeners fan affection and one of the DJ mentioned that she went to The Podium last April 14th and she was surprised that there were alot of tweenies waiting for the South London boys' choir and some of them were actually screaming when the boys walked in the place. She even mentioned that she was surprised when she found out that the fans know the photographer's name as well. hahaha The DJ might not know that the photographer were actually formers of Libera (Callum and Big Ben) and that the fans are not only composed of female tweeners but people from different ages as well. Talk about extra air-time. :)

On other news, I just learned from Kjec and Dale that Libera is topping the music chart in different Record stores. In Astrovision at San Juan, Libera's Peace ranked 3rd, New Dawn ranked 6th and Eternal ranked 11th on their Weekly Top Sellers. Anyhoo, in Trinoma Libera's New Dawn is at number 3, Peace at number 6 and Eternal at number 9. (These posts were made last week so it probably change now.) And I just found out that New Dawn ranked 3rd last January in Music One Top Charts. That's really good! I hope sales continue to sky rocket so next time they'll come here, they wouldn't just perform for us but we can also give them Gold or Platinum award/s.

EMI Classics' Contest Prize

So I've blogged before that I won an EMI Classic contest via Libera4u Blog and after 2 weeks of waiting (it's exactly 2weeks!) I received the package straight from UK. So cool! Hahahaha It's a PEACE CD (with a sticker indicating "PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE" and a tube with Peace Poster (just like the cover of the cd)...but but but.... where's the signature? :( Maybe they forgot that the one I won was a signed poster... Oh well, I'm still glad to have it and at least I can attend several MnG this April so I can have it signed. This is one good way to start my week I hope it ends good as well. :) Anyhoo, THANKS EMI! :)

Vote For Libera On Classical Crossover

If you are a classical music lover, one website that you might like is Classical Crossover Website. It is dedicated  for Classical artists in UK which has Artists Profiles, Album Reviews, Interviews User Charts (mainly based on the votes and ratings of the artists by fans) and Forum.

As of March 21, Libera ranked 29th on their chart (Fiona Pears ranked 14th). The editor of the Classical Crossover Site mentioned that the ratings are just for fun and for them to know whose fan base are active on their site. However, they might be conducting an award system soon which will be based on the ranking (this one is not yet clear to me) and the top 10 artists are given more coverage as rewards to the fans.

You need to REGISTER on the site before you vote for them, but one registered fan of Libera might just help them move closer to top 10, which we are aiming at least.

To Vote: (click on the stars for rating) Libera on Classical Crossover
To View full user chart: Classical Crossover Full User Chart

Note that:
***You can vote once every 2 hours and to as many artists as you want.
***Number of Votes x Average Ratings = Score

EMI Classics' Contest

Last week was a busy week for me. We had a lot of submittal that made me really out of my mind. One thing I do to unwind at times where I feel like my brains being lost to the drawings I had to do is listen to Libera music while surfing on the net about them and that's exactly what I did. As I was on my last stop before I go back to work, I made a quick stop to check updates on Libera4u and found out that the site was also contacted to have a contest. So I entered the contest but I completely forgot about it afterwards.

Early this morning, as I am doing my usual surfing on different Libera sites, I stumbled upon a great news I found on Libera4u...

That's me!!!!!!!

And so I waited the whole day and I finally received a confirmation from EMI and they said that they are mailing the prize today straight from UK. WOOOOOW! I can not wait to receive that! :)

Familiarize Yourself With The New Kids. :)

So with the upcoming concerts and MnGs, I think it's best to familiarize ourselves with the kids right? I got these labeled pictures from Patrick and I thought of sharing it to you guys as well. :) Btw, there's still one kid whom we don't know but I'll update you on that as soon as I have info. :)

Always with You

This is off Libera but I really need to let this out.

From floods and volcano eruption in Philippines, earthquakes in Haiti and Chile and Tsunami alerts in Japan,  a lot of catastrophes are happening right now. I hope we will always remember that there is someone that is always looking up on us and guiding us through all the way. I hope all will be well and people who were devastated from the happening will find Peace and will be able to move on and start a new life. I aslo do hope that people who are fortunate would help those who are in need in any way that you can, specially through prayers.

Calling all Filipino Libera Fans

I recently received an email from a fellow Libera fan who helps in promoting Libera to the Philippines and I though of sharing this to you.

1.24.2010

TIME.

I finally got over with my emo moments, and though I may be really late, I still felt an urge to blog about this one.

1.23.2010

Crying.

I was supposed to blog about Libera's new music video entitled TIME but I guess I can't find the right words.

1.03.2010

I am captured.

Nabihag ako. (I am captured.)

Nabihag could mean enslaved (as used in the translation of Bayan Ko) but it could also mean captured. And boy I was captured by the goodness of their version. I have it on repeat.

Libera Impostors

This was posted on Libera's Official Facebook Acount.

Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 4:57am
It has come to our attention that there is someone on Facebook pretending to be various boys from Libera. This person makes friends with fans and passes false information about the boys, and we have even been told of an attempt to extort money.

We believe one such account has recently been closed down by Facebook, but we know there are others.

Please take care. Libera boys are regularly reminded about internet safety and they know not to make friends with people they do not already know for real.

So if you are friends with someone who says he is a current Libera boy it may be the impostor or someone else who has the same name as a Libera boy. We would suggest you remove them from your friends lists.

Kind regards

Libera

Libera in Torquay, Devon UK

This was taken from Libera's concert in Torquay, Devon UK a year ago. I've been watching this for gazillion times but because of the video quality, I still can't figure out some of the boys. Any idea who they are? :)

Never Be Alone

I've been busy for the past few days. I've got this research on my design class and thing on my RMA that I had to do all over again. Ugh. Anyhoo, my mind's a bit wasted now to continue writing about the Concert Experience since I have a lot of reminiscing to do. hahaha So for now, I leave you "Never Be Alone", one of my favorite Libera songs.
